Pentastar Aviation to Develop Two Gogo Galileo HDX STCs for Gulfstream G-IV/G-IV-X/G-450 and Gulfstream G-V/G-550 Series Aircraft

WATERFORD, Mich.In response to strong demand for Gogo Galileo HDX, Pentastar Aviation will develop a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Gulfstream G-IV/G-IV-X/G-450 and G-V/G-550 series aircraft.

Gogo Galileo, the latest innovation from Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO), will provide operators worldwide with global, high-speed inflight internet for every size business aircraft. It will leverage Eutelsat OneWeb’s enterprise-grade Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite network, designed for mobility to deliver low variability and consistent performance across all routes globally.

The STC in development by Pentastar for the Gogo Galileo HDX system will be validated by the Federal Aviation Association (FAA) and later with other aviation authorities worldwide. It will cover a total addressable market of more than 1,600 aircraft, more than 300 of which are already equipped with Gogo AVANCE.

“We are excited to partner with Gogo in bringing this product to market for Gulfstream owners. The speed and coverage combined with the integration abilities truly make Gogo Galileo an exceptional one-of-a-kind solution,” said Brad Bruce, Pentastar President & CEO.

Pentastar’s avionics team has extensive experience in avionics system integration design, STC development, and service and maintenance on the most sophisticated avionics systems in the industry.

“This STC developed by Pentastar is instrumental in bringing Gogo Galileo’s home-like inflight internet to Gulfstream operators in the United States and other countries worldwide,” said Dave Salvador, Gogo Vice President of Aftermarket Sales. “As a valued partner, Pentastar’s expertise in certification and design are vital to the aftermarket success of Gogo Galileo.”

With its compact size, the HDX delivers fast, low-latency performance across the full breadth of business aviation aircraft worldwide from light jets and turboprops to the largest business jets.

Operators can contact Pentastar to submit a purchase order for the HDX, which is designed to be an easy upgrade to any AVANCE system (AVANCE L3, L5, LX5, SCS).

A special promotional rebate of $25,000 is also available for a limited time to current Gogo customers operating a legacy air-to-ground system (ATG 1000, 2000, 4000, 5000) when installing AVANCE SCS and HDX.

At the National Business Aviation Association in Las Vegas from Oct. 22-24, Pentastar experts can share more about Gogo Galileo at booth 3041. Gogo will also have in-person demos of the Gogo Galileo service available at the static display at AD_325.
